Apply for an Advanced training grant

Advanced training grants:
route 1 - Leader in Training

A Leader in Training role (also referred to as Pastor in Training, Minister in Training or Trainee Christian Leader) in one or more local churches for 3 or 4 years in partnership with an external training provider
The terminology Leader in Training embraces men and women, reflecting complementarian principles

Important documents:

The deadline for all applications and supporting documentation is 30th June 2026
Applicants and their training churches must read Advanced Training Grants: Principles for Awarding Grants before making an application
In addition, training churches must complete an Advanced Training (Leader in Training): Church Programme Questionnaire for any applicants for funding to be considered

Advanced training grants:
Route 2 - Residential Theological Study

Important documents:

The deadline for all applications and supporting documentation is 30th June 2026
Applicants and their training churches must read Advanced Training Grants: Principles for Awarding Grants before making an application
In addition, sending churches must complete an Advanced Training (Residential theological study): Church reference for any applicants for funding to be considered
