Yarnton awards three types of grant:
Yarnton only accepts applications from individuals
For foundation and advanced training grants, this will be from individuals to support them through their training
For enabling grants, this will be from individuals seeking support for their roles in enabling training culture
For each type of grant, the trust has established a number of principles for awarding grants.
This is to ensure equity and transparency in grant funding.
For foundation and advanced training grants, it is also to ensure that support is directed to those training to be full-time gospel workers, and that the training they are receiving is rigorous.
For enabling grants, it is to ensure that support is directed to those making the greatest impact in enabling training culture.
It is not the objective of the Trust to make grants to the full capacity of funds available unless there are high quality candidates to support. Whilst a primary goal of the Trust is to grow the numbers training for gospel ministry, an equally important commitment is to ensure the quality of those being trained and the rigour of their training.
It is imperative that, before applying for a grant, the principles are read in detail.
The deadline for all grant applications for 2026/27 is 30 June 2026
Grant decision will be communicated in early August
Grants can be paid directly to the individual or to their training church if appropriate
Grants will be paid in three instalments: September, January and April
